The DPA CENTAURO Vehicle Lift Platform (PEV), manufactured by FOCA Mobility, is a device installed in vehicles designed to lift people with disabilities or limited mobility to the vehicle’s interior floor level via a platform. The system uses a structure with two parallel arms to perform the controlled vertical movement of the platform, allowing the user—including those in wheelchairs—to board and disembark directly between the exterior and interior of the vehicle. The automatic version features electro-hydraulic operation. Designed for use in medium and large vans, cargo vans, mobile units, and buses, the equipment also has a high load-handling capacity, within the established operational limits for its use. This equipment is intended exclusively for accessibility in passenger transport and is designed for integration into the vehicle.

Benefits

Low threshold: When at ground level, the lift is positioned as low as possible, with no gap between the floor and the lift base, matching the floor level. When retracted into the vehicle, the same happens with the lift base and the car floor. This leveling prevents the risk of tripping and jolting of accessibility equipment.
Roll-stop: Prevents any wheelchair on the platform from accidentally rolling too far and off the platform. The roll-stop on the DPA line is mechanical and rises as soon as the platform leaves the ground.
Made of Steel: Although steel is heavier than aluminum, there are two benefits to its use: steel does not flex as much as aluminum and does not suffer from fatigue cracks after heavy use;
Surface Coating: The lifts are treated with a high-quality powder coating, providing superior protection against scratches;
Surface Grip: The metal stretch of the platform provides non-slip grip for shoes and tires;
Easy maintenance and adjustment: Adjusting the position and side of the hydraulic unit, as well as its maintenance, is made easy. Simply loosen a single fastener and pull the unit up;

Features

With the vehicle on a level surface, the brake engaged, and the engine running, it is necessary to keep the doors fully open before operating the lift.
Using the key, turn the switch and the system will turn on, activating the audible and visual signals. Using the manual control, release the locks using the “open” button until the platform is extended, and use the “down” option until the platform reaches floor level.
To return to the initial position or to board a passenger, the “up” function is used until the platform is at the level of the car. To close the platform, the “close” button on the control is held until the platform stops completely.
